1 apple (Granny Smith, Ambrosia)

Brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and nuts as desired

Core apple; remove top inch of peel.  Pierce the skin in several places with a toothpick to prevent the skin from bursting.  Put apple in a microwave-safe dish.  Fill the apple with brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins and nuts.  Add a little water to the bottom of the dish.  Cover it with waxed paper.  Microwave for 2-3 minutes.  Let it sit for a few minutes before eating.
